Why is my food processor mixing slowly?

Had my food processor for barely two years; after 2 or 3 uses it smelled like burning electrical, and I’m pretty sure I saw smoke coming from motor base, I make homemade mayo in it and that is now the only thing it will make, and the blades will barely mix it; can’t slice, chop, or grate in it anymore (only did those functions maybe twice?). Did the motor wear out?
