Cannot get antennas to snap into place

I'm doing a battery replacement, everything went perfectly, really easy job, until... it came time to put the antennas back in place. I cannot seem to get them to snap in place, having done work on iPhones before I know they can be fiddley cause they are so small but an hour later and a sore neck and I am no closer to getting these antennas to snap back in. Anyone have any tips, is there a particular knack to these?

Unfortunately, the connectors on the logic bard are physically damaged. You could try to cut off the portion that is no longer circular but that will require some very fine tip cutters. Perhaps with some fine tweezers you could manage to "break" them in the right spot by bending them back and forth.

However, the best solution is to have new connectors micro-soldered on the logic board. This is not a DIY repair unless you have experience micro-soldering with hot air stations.

Aww man that is annoying, thanks for the info though. I have a guy who does soldering for me, so I'll let him handle it thanks.

i use my bent nose tweezers to hold the clip at its "neck," then use a torque 6 driver to push straight down on the head. They shouldn't be too fiddly though. there may be damage to the connector or the clip itself. so if you can upload a magnified picture of the two, i can help inspect it.

not a problem. i see my request for pictures allowed another to finalize the answer for you. :) sorry for the outcome though. those are some pretty simple components to swap out. (in the scale of SMT components that is) easy to swap out of another board if you have one, or cheap to buy if you dont.
