How do I get stick remote app to connect when the tv doesn’t have wif

I recently moved. So when I got the new WiFi I added it to my phone. But when I signed back into the app it wouldn’t find my firestick. I think it is because the t.v. is not connected to the WiFi but I can’t connect it without using the remote app which as I mentioned will not recognize the firestick. And no I do not have another remote. It is sadly missing. Please help me!
