Could I use a hard drive from a PlayStation 3 to replace the hard drive in a Acer aspire R3 laptop?

They both use 2.5 inch HDDs, so in theory, yes it should work.
It depends on the condition of the PS3's drive though, you might be better off just buying a new one.
