Why does my truck shake violently when I go over 45 mph?
Could this be front end work needed wheel or Axel bearing problem or just wheel alignment needed?

christinezaf the very first thing you want to check are your tires. Make sure that they are in good shape and that the treads are run-up about equally on all four. Have them properly balanced. Then recheck again. If condition still exist. After that you will have to get your ball joints and wheel bearings etc. checked. I find that this shaking is commonly caused by the tires.

Tie rods or ball joints?
after a while it will be both. I check ball joints first since they are the first once to transmit the vibration from the wheels to the chassis. There is also a slight possibility that this is coming from the transmission, but that is unlikely. I am still not sure about those tires. See if you can find a place that can spin balance your tires.
