Why does my iPad keep “ghost typing?”

This isn’t so much a hardware problem or question, but I have been running into this typing bug for almost a month now. It’s pretty annoying when you are filling out an order form or something and when you click the next box to fill in, it adds it to the top line. Anyways, this is what it looks like:
