Finger Print ID Not Working After New Screen Using Origin Button
Hello All,
I replaced the whole screen including shield plate and home button cable.
Having taken notice of:
- "If you do not transfer your phone's original home button to the new display, you will lose Touch ID functionality."
I installed the original home button. Never the less the home button functions but there is no fingerprint ID functioallity.
Can anyone help me with this problem please?
Best Regards, Guy.

Thinks??
This is the pate/flex replacement unit that I purchased:
The plug at the top end has to be doubled back on itself (see 1st image) to face the socket.
I was supprised at this. I folded and glued it.
Maybe the fold did some damage. Should I have just manovered into facing the correct way?

Here are a couple of images of the connector:
I am assuming that there is a fault or damage so I’ve ordered another plate.
The connector is facing in the correct direction:
So this, hopefully, will sort the problem.
Questa è una buona domanda?

Does it match the old one? I don't have one in front of me to look at, but it should just face the same direction ans the digitizer and LCD connections when assembled to the back of the screen. They tolerate the gentle bend (Fold) the way they originally go on but if it was installed upside down on the shield, it would be on the wrong side, so I doubt that would be it. Just don't bend it to a "Kink". And no glue should be needed as there are shields that go over the FPC Connector on both sides that plug in. Maybe you could add a pic of the install?
