replaced broken digitizer, then the LCD started to show lines. Replaced screen, all looks great except the digitizer does not work properly and the screen jerks but doesn't swipe (to open or shutdown)
Any ideas whats wrong or what needs to be replaced?

The iPad mini is pretty temperamental and fixing it requires good quality parts and attention to detail. You need to go back and double check all your steps. Pay attention to the condition of the connectors on the logic board and the flexes themselves. You can read about some of the gotcha's here.

Oh, home button seems to not work either.....
