How to replace iPod classic backplate?

I want to replace the backplate on my iPod Classic to make it look better when I sell it. Isn't the hold switch and what looks like the battery glued down to the back plate? I know how to remove these things, but then how do I reattach them to my new backplate?

will, also make sure, that when you replace the rear panel, that you get the proper one for your model. Some of those do not interchange due to the "thicker "HDD. It is a straight forward task as long as you follow the links that rab777hp posted for you. Good Luck
