Domanda Chiusa

Keep needing to reset Pioneer radio

I drive a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan, and after you turn off the engine there's a 30 second delay for the radio to shut off, or unless you open the door. This is the car feature and has nothing to do with the stereo itself

After turning off the car and after the radio goes off, sometimes I can still hear the fan inside the stereo going and that let's me know that it will not turn on when I start up the car again, unless I pull the button tab off and press the reset button.

I say it does it 3 out of 5 times. It started doing this 2 months ago and I've dealth with it, but now it's getting worse to where sometimes I won't bother resetting it and drive around without music.

I'm wondering if there's an electrical part inside the stereo that I can order online and swap it out. I have soldering skills. When working, the stereo sounds and acts brand new. (Pioneer AVH-X7700BT). Latest firmware installed, and out of warranty.

Thanks.

I have the same stereo and same problem. Did you find a fix for it?

I would also know if this has been fixed. I contacted Pioneer but they just want me to send in the radio :/

Hi,

I have the same problem with the same stereo. I've paid 40$ to a specialist to hear that maybe the processor is out of order and it could simply be a problem of firmware but only Pioneer can fix it.

It just costs 90$!.

I've decided to sell it 60$ for the front unit and I've replaced it with an android model from X-trons which works perfectly.
