Screen keeps restarting after screen replacement

I did a screen replacement for an iPhone 7 plus (oem screen) and before I put all the screws and plate on it I test it and it functions fine. When I put the front camera sensor the home button the back plate and the screws that go on the motherboard ( I made sure I didn't misplace them because that could cause the phone to get a blue screen) and close up the phone it keeps restarting just on the Apple logo. Sometimes it would go to the home screen for like 5-10 mins then it shuts back down.

I asked around and they told me it's because of the front camera theirs a sticker that needs to be intact with the camera ( if you don't heat it up good ) can this be true ? Maybe it fried the front camera and it's not letting it turn on ? Anything helps guys thanks !

I just did a iphone 7 plus screen replacement, I remove all old adhesive and apply new one. After I replaced the screen with a screen from ifixit, but 3 of them from here so far, the apple logo would show on a white background, while booting, as soon as you turn it on, but this would stay here for about 5 minutes, and flash 3-4 times before the phone reached the lock screen. I may have forgotten to disconnect the battery, but on older models, this was not ever an issue. Her phone worked fine before I replaced the screen, and to top it off, when I put her old screen back, thinking it my a new defective screen problem, the same thing happened even with her old cracked screen. Did not disconnecting the battery do any damage? The phone is brand new, even had great charging and just bought it in November. Is it possible that could have caused an issue, or did I receive a defective screen, although I do not see how because I seated the connectors very carefully and smoothly.

I have a similar issue with an iPhone 7 plus screen I just tried replacing. After installing the replacement screen. The phone would restart when trying to make a call. So I put the old screen back on, then the ear piece speaker would not work, everything else would. Tried reseating the camera/earpiece cable and now the cracked screen does the same as the replacement screen, it restarts when I try to make a phone call. I see posts stating that it could be the cam/speaker cable, so that is what I have on order, for now, the customer is without a functioning phone.

Ok yea that's what I've been told, but the customer had warranty with Apple so lucky he was able to get it replaced. But let me know if that works out with you for further knowledge on what to do in that situation. Thanks

I have a similar issue as well.

The new cam/speaker cable resolved the issue for me. The cable seems super sensitive and can be easily damaged. I think my issue was the contacts that was covered by the small square double sided tape.

What ended up happening? Did it work after a replacement?

I FOUND A SOLUTION. Take the silver piece that holds down the camera wires on the logic board. I tried to make a call with it on, soft reboot, took it off, made calls fine. Knew it couldnt be the camera wire as the camera worked and sensors work. Hopefully this helps some

You would be surprised that even dust on the front camera connector can cause this too so cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol + soft bristle brush is worth a try.
