Headphone audio port problem.

I have a iPod Touch 2nd gen 32 Gb. Recently the headphone port has begun to give out. To get the full audio from the headphones you must hold the headphone jack tightly against the port. Otherwise you only get half the sound or not much volume. Another more strange symptom is that if you move the headphone jack around while it is in the port, the song playing on the iPod will begin to fast forward or it will skip to the next song. I've tried the headphones on other devices and it works fine, and I have tried other headphones on the iPod and the same problems appear.
