Nokia 130 screen is always black

So I was given this Nokia 1320 by a family member. Initially the phone was overheating a lot when using the GPS and the screen was getting a bunch of lines on it when this happened. After a while the screen wouldnt display anything at all. I have tried re-installing the software for the phone using the windows tool but nothing still happens. The touch screen still seems responsive though.

Does anyone know how i could fix this issue? I'm thinking about buying a new screen, but I'm worried thats not the issue.
