Motorcycle windshield tiny nicks in clear part

When dust or bugs hit the windshield, often there is a tiny dot or nick that reflects sunlight and looks like tiny stars. The only way I have heard about removing these nicks is to sand them out with very fine sandpaper, but I think there should be another way like some kind of wax or polishing fluid that will hide these blemishes.

I use this stuff it works great hand rub it in and buff it out when it dries. I do use a 2000 grit wet sandpaper to get out deep nicks and scratches and advise not to use high speed buffers ans they can heat and burn the plastic if your not careful. always keep the surface damp when sanding .I also use it on my helmet visor inside and out . Helps keep down down fog ups found that one out by accident ;-) Hope this helps

@ronfix, Ron Creech , Try a head light polishing kit, most come with 3 or 4 grades of fine paper and polishing compound and a buffing pad to go on a drill. These kits can do wonders on clear plastic headlights imperfections and may work well for you. Warning to keep from melting plastic/burn, use slower buffing speed, keep moving and have a spritzer bottle handy to re-dampen buffing wheel when getting dry. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
