Home button wont work

i have a iphone 5 that the home button on it will not work i have replaced it a couple times now i just put a new home button in it not to long ago and it worked fine and it stopped working out of no where and same with the power so i had no way to turn my screen on but if i took out the screws on the bottom of the screen out and let it lift up and the home button would sometimes work when i pushed the screen down so thats how i turned it on and with apples new $@$* update it makes it even harder to open so i changed the flex cable charging cable on the bottom that the home bottom connects to just now and it didnt fix it so i think it may be just the home button and i think i have a good one lying around but just wondering if it could be a software problem cause it seems like my parts break really fast i havent had it for even a year yet and ive replaced the battery like 5 times the home button 3 or 4 the screen 2 cause i got it cracked and other little things a couple times so are my parts breaking cause of software or something anyone got any ideas
