2.3yr old iPad mini screen flickering? Why? What do I do?

My iPad screen is flickering. I tried the home power screen reset as said here earlier and and also increased the brightness of screen to full taking of auto brightness, but still it persists . My iPad mini is 2.3 yr old and functinioning perfect otherwise
