Lens on my Coolpix S8000 is scratched. Can the lens be replaced?

Is it possible to replace the lens on a Nikon Coolpix S8000 compact camera?

The lens is scratched. I would attempt a self repair if this is possible. Two quotes for a professional repair start at £100 + parts and this is too expensive.
