Why is my screen displaying green lines

After replacing the digitalizer in my tablet I had the issue where it flickered while being charged and didn't work otherwise, so I opened it and wiggled the battery back in place then left it to charge for a couple hours. I came back, it was on but the screen was dark around the edges, and was white one side and green lines on the other, no picture to make out. I know the touch works because I slid my finger across it and it made the noise it would when I unlock it. What can I do to fix this issue?
