Bad lightening storm last night, today the iMac is dead. Gonner?
Bad storm last night left my Imac dead. No LEDs, No fans. Started to disassemble but i do not want to just start replacing parts.

The problem you face here is how far did the lightning travel within your system.
It could have stopped at the power supply if the power line was hit, or it could have jumped to you logic board via your network connection, or other connected device that was hit. It's just a gamble here, sorry. ;-{
I would just try to get my insurance company to pay for a replacement, in the long haul it will be cheaper.
You may want to pull the drive to see if you can salvage the data on it, I would stop there.

After you get a new system I strongly recommend you have your houses grounding services checked. Also make sure the outlets you are using are properly wired.
Make the investment of a UPS for your system and good quality surge suppressors for all your other gear thats not directly connected to the UPS your computer is connected to.

Did you have your system plugged in a surge suppressor or UPS? Some offer insurance coverage if they fail. As an example APC does.
