replacement video card for desktop
I need to replace the video card for this dell. what is the part#?

Jim, I looked at the link you sent and those seem to be a full height slot. My DELL has a low height 2.75 inch opening.

Sorry about that. This one is a low profile card and should work for the gx280 desktop.

If it has dedicated graphics than most likely any video card that can fit in it with the right slot (most likely pcie x16 or pci) and if the power supply can power it...
I can tell you exactly what you need if you can send a Picture of the back and inside without the graphics card...

Also if it has integrated that went bad then you will need to get a graphics card/new CPU depending...

OK so you need a video card that is PCIE X16 single slot so something like this...

And in reply to "LS Computer Systems" he may not have to but if the integrated graphics died there could be more things wrong with the CPU on the same chip...
Something that is very probable if after he gets a GPU it doesn't boot...

You could get away with a Radeon 5450 I think if you cannot find the X300.
