- Back up all data from the Z3.
- From the Home screen, select the Applications button.
- Select Settings.
- Select 'Personal' and then tap Back up & reset.
- Uncheck 'Automatic restore' check box.
- Under 'personal data' select 'Factory data reset'.
- Select 'Reset phone'.
- If you have a lockscreen passcode, enter it now.
- Select 'Erase everything' to confirm.
