Put iMac late 2014 5K LCD on iMac late 2015 5K?

Hello everybody

i am new here

i just broke the LCD of my new Imac 27 late 2015 5K :(

i am unable to use the warranty

so my question is :

the imac 5k late 2014 is using LM270QQ1 SDA2 for LCD

the imac 5k late 2015 is using LM270QQ1 SDB1 for LCD

i know the main difference is late 2015 is using P3 color gamut

but i would like to know if theses two are compatible ?

in other words :

Can i put an Imac 5k late 2014 LCD on my Imac 5k late 2015 ?

does they have the same cables ?

i would like to do that because the LCD from 2014 is less expensive...

Thanks for your answer

Apple lists them as the same part number - 661-00200 iMac 27" LCD Panel and Glass Assembly, Late 2014 / Mid 2015. Review the compatibility section to be sure your system is listed.

Sorry don't have an answer here for the newer model. Have you tried asking Apple for the bench rate for repairing this system? It might be worth it.

no, but i assume it would be over 500 euros, so too expensive

i know both lcd are 5k , both are using the same cables

i am just scare about the P3 color gamut thing

thanks anyway

It might not be that high, can't hurt to call or visit an Apple Store to ask :-)
