trackpad button stuck

Hi,

My trackpad button is stuck down. Is this fixable, or must it be replaced? Can I try to pry it up, or will I risk breaking it? Should I take the topcase off and investigate first?

Hello!

The danger with prying it up is that you can create small burrs in the plastic that further rub and hinder trackpad button use. I would investigate by removing the upper case, as you mentioned (especially because the removal is an easy one)!
