Why will my drill not start up?
My drill is plugged in to a wall outlet, which seems to be a sufficient power source but the drill itself will still not power on.

It sounds like your problem isn't regarding the power source itself but is most likely the power cord itself. Over time the wiring within the cord can become worn and frayed which results in no power to the drill at all.
