My kindle will not turn on

My kindle initially starts up but only kindle fire appears on the screen then after 30-40seconds it shuts off then tries to restart again . This continues on and on . I've tried holding power button for 40 seconds to 2 minutes. Also while pressing the volume up button. Same results. Can u help?
