Will it be easy to fix a dented back casing?

My macbook was in my bag and i dropped it, and now there is a dent in my laptop that is stopping my sound from working. I went to apple to ask for an estimate and it was $900 so i was thinking of just fixing the dent myself.

Has anyone ever tried fixing dented back casings for MacBooks before? and if it worked do you have any tips?! Even if fixing the dent doesnt fix my sound, it'll be okay, i just don't like bulge that its creating in my laptop. Thanks!

Also what're the chances of the back casing being over bent?

Please add some photos. Removing dents from a Retina display is a very different animal.

Dents can result in material stretching that you won't be able to hide completely without the right tools (even then sometimes it doesn't work). If you want to try fixing it yourself you can disassemble (assuming you have the skills or can follow the videos) and attempt to remove the dent using a few microfiber cloths, a flat sturdy surface, and a rubber tipped deadblow hammer.

If the dent damaged your speaker, it will need replacement. If it is just holding the speaker and preventing it from vibrating properly removing the dent should fix it but may degrade the performance.

Note: The deadblow hammer is very important. A normal hammer will not work and could cause further damage.

The dent in pushed inwards on my laptop, so i'm hoping that once i open it and flatten the dent and that will fix the problem with the casing. Thanks for your help!

Don't do anything until you take a look at a guide on tearing down a retina display!
