My MacBook Wont turn on!

ok so. it had water damage.. i replaced the mother board, the dc in board, and the battery. When i connect to charger the light turns green like its connected but it won't charge the battery! Pleeeaaassseeeee someone tell me that there is a reasonable explanation for this?!?!
