Hearing a beep--do you mean that you hear the usb connect sound when you connect your phone to a computer? If so, this means that your phone is on, but just has no display.

Open iTunes. Is your phone detected in recovery mode? If so, you can restore (which will wipe your data) and the phone may be fine. If it is detected by iTunes but not in recovery mode then this means you have a display problem. Disconnect the battery and reseat the screen. If not solved, try a new display. If not solved troubleshoot backlight circuit.

Thanks for the message. I should add that screen is on already, the battery is at %49 and is going down. the beep is the sound when you connect power to the iPhone and you hear the charging sound. I also see the symbol of the charging icon next to battery and the battery symbol turns green but it just not going up. one thing I noticed was that looks like charging port circuit is replaced from what i can see, could be it the reason?

ok, so the phone is working normally but just showing signs of "fake charging"

For that problem, you can rule out bad battery, then bad charging port, and if none of these solve then you probably have a common chip level defect on the motherboard---a failure of the charging logic ic chip due to non-Apple charger usage, i.e. "U2 chip failure"

Thanks. That's my suspicion too. I tried one brand new battery so I'm leaning toward charging port issue. Is there a way to give shock to the phone that can possibly cure the issue? I'm talking hardware reset not the the hard rest using the power and home button.

no. you can't cure a hardware problem with a software solution
