Asus laptop wont start after digitaizer replacement

I just replaced the touch screen digitizer on an Asus Q200E laptop. Before starting I disconnected the battery and held the power button for 20 seconds as I had read in a tutorial. Everything appeared to go pretty smoothly. When I finished and went to boot up the laptop nothing happened. The fan and hard drive don't spin...nothing. I had expected if I did anything wrong it would result in no video or something along those lines, so I was kind of shocked. I googled around and saw that people recommend you unplug the battery and hold the power button for anywhere from 10 to 45 seconds, then plug it back in and start up, but this hasn't worked for me despite many attempts.

I don't know the wiring configuration, but the charging light comes on when I have the battery connected and plug in the adapter. It doesn't come on if the battery isn't connected.

I followed this tutorial pretty strictly for the repair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_teoGiDe...

Does anyone have any suggestions?
