Ps4 controller sync issues

Got my ps4 last night. Got home from work and the same problem.

I️ have tried every single fix on google and you tube. I am currently down loading a fresh start on the flash drive now. If this doesn’t work, I’m fixing it by going tomorrow and getting my first new Xbox 1x

My solution ended up being that I was using a shotty USB cord. I switched cords and it linked straight away. I was stuck in a failed system update and the screen was stuck on that screen until I connected a controller. I also held the power button down during startup to enter safe mode. Hope this helps

PS4 says serious error occurred press ps on controller but my controller won’t work. I pressed ps it lights up but no response is given. What can I do?

My PS4 is doing exactly the same thing. I updated the software to 3.10 then some time after that the controller just disconnected. Both of my controllers are now unable to be synced to the PS4, both work in safe mode via the physical connection and both will pair without problem to my mac. I called sony about this and they said to try pairing with a foreign controller and see if that fixes the problem. The support person I spoke to on the phone found it very hard to believe it could be related to the update or a problem with the actual bluetooth chip in the PS4.

I am facing the same issue and i know the problem is with the console not with the controller but it is due to update ?not sure about that.

None the less, i also believe that this issue will be resolved by replacing wireless communication chip but i don't know where and how to find it. i m posting the pic of that chip with this comment, if you find out any info about this chip do let me know .

I had this problem last night what I finally did was just turn off The console and unplugged it completely reinserted the UBS cable into the controller and the console plugged it in and use the controller good turn it back on everything worked fine

Unplugging the PS4 (rude reboot) worked! My controllers synced after that.

The problem with mine is the wifi I am using won't let me sync my controllers more than 10 seconds. But I used my mobile Hotspot and they stayed connected just fine. I had to order a new ps4 and selling the old one because it works fine with all other wifi excpet mine. My brother's PS4 works fine on the same wifi so it's only my PS4. I don't know why, neither does Tech Support on PlayStation Network.

I recently connected my controller to my phone and earlier it worked on my ps4. After I disconnected from my phone (iPhone) my controller wouldn’t sync to my ps4 connected or not and would automatically try to connect to my phone. Any help on this ?
