Why does the camera make the picture appear very dark?

If the photo appears to be distorted and lacking color then the problem could be the CCD sensor. The CCD sensor provides a well-quality image in the picture without giving distortion and have good light sensitivity. Since the CCD sensor is a complicated component to actually fix, you would want to replace the CCD sensor with a new one.
