The washer goes through all the cycles, but won't start spinning, but hear the motor humming. I have previously replaces the coupler. If I reach in and move the agitator with a screw driver depressing the lid switch, it will begin to spin up slowly, and then reach full spin and continue to completion.
Any ideas? Could it be the clutch or clutch liner?

OK, so I found another posting and was able to diagnosis the problem from the previous posting (2009).
I made the mistake of laying the machine on its side instead of its back. Now there is a loud banging and thumping during the spin cycle. Posted another post on this with more details.
