In case you have the same issue as I had:

I got the Oral-B Pulsonic Slim Clean 2500, sometime mentioned as "Type 3748"

My mistake was I did not expect such a big battery in my toothbrush, so I ordered the wrong one:

I just wanted to share some pictures of the inside of my toothbrush, as I did not find any information about that type. I hope that someone in the future will find these pics as helpful. Sorry, I did not take the pictures as step by step manuel.

These are the steps I had to do:

  1. Remove the top of the part where you put on the brush-head. There is a dowel pin that you need to remove. Use a hammer and a small screwdriver for example.
  2. Remove the bottom cap. (beware, the wires of the charging coil are likely to break of - if they do, thats okay, you will get better access to the inside parts of the toothbrush)

  1. On each side there is a clip. There are a bit heavier to open as described in the other tutorials.
  2. There is no fitting battery, so I had to modify the geometry. It worked with a 58x14,5 mm battery for me.

Your statements were exactly what I was looking for. Luckily you created your instructions 3 days ago :D.

One more thing I have to add: I tried simply pressing my screwdriver into the hook locations. This is wrong, it is best to use pliers or toothpicks to reach into the previous holes and pull them towards each other. Otherwise you won't get the hooks loosed.

I've bought whis one from Amazon: https://t1p.de/40u5f

here is a german alternative: https://t1p.de/bjso9

Edit: the one I bought does not fit :)

I was wondering if anyone could provide more guidance on step 3, removing the outer housing? I was unable to get it off using small screwdrivers. I have some electronics tool kits with both metal and plastic tools.

For Oral-B Pulsonic Slim Clean 2000 ('Type 3748' is written on the buttom cap) I bought this battery:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050058...

The original battery is ~55mmx14,5mm. This one is about 0.5cm shorter than the original but about the same diameter. It fits well and snaps in, but it needs a prolongation for the contacts. I soldered a wire to the plus contact of the battery and attached that to the circuit board. The other contact of the battery needed to be cut thinner to fit through the hole in the circuit board. I achieved that with a wire cutter and some bending.
