How can I fix a loose screen?

When I touch my screen it moves ever so slightly up and down. Is there a way I can replace the rubber seal between the iPhone glass and the metal housing to make it fit more snug? If this is possible, where can I find the parts? Thanks!

Sounds like a refurb defect. If it is a brand new phone--return it! Cheaper aftermarket iPhone 6 screens have a 'lift' between the screen glass and the plastic bezel. A quality iPhone 6 screen that is properly installed will not have a lift. Correcting a lift on a cheap screen is a pain.

Hi,

Firstly, it's not a rubber seal, its plastic.

Secondly, your best bet is try and glue it down, as it appears that these iPhone 6 replacement screens always peel away from the frame.

Firstly, it's a brand new phone.

Secondly, don't care what it's made of.

Thanks David, some people don't like help these days...

Wow bub, don't come on ifixit if you don't want answers, you should drop the attitude. If you went to anywhere with that attitude for help they would of told you to gtfo.

If it's a brand new phone, common sense should've told you to take it to apple.

Plus, you never mentioned it was a new phone in your question, so everyone would have assumed you've had the screen replaced by a third party screen.

If its a brand new phone take it back

I have the same problem. It's most likely if you relize when you charge your phone and the battery becomes very overheated, the battery is faulty. This is not normal. Sometimes the battery will overheat but not to an extreme extent. Just take it back to Apple and they will give you a new one free of cost. I got a new one too. But this may be a bit too complicated to fix at home. Guess that upgrade will have to wait. :)

The glass is adhered to the plastic frame by hot glue.

The screen gets hot the glue gets soft.

I've seen this multiple times on GENUINE iPhone 6, it looks like it's becoming a common fault.

I use a 2 component expoxy glue and a injection needle to apply the mixture very precise.

Apply the glue on the frame and place the frame on the glass, apply pressure for 2/3 hours and it wont come off ever again.
