Dell Streak 5 Touch screen not working

Using the Teardown instructions I have just replaced the motherboard with one I obtained from China; it's a genuine unused Dell replacement.

Battery charges OK and screen comes on but it's not responding to 'touches'.

Even when I hold the power button on and 'Power Off', 'Airplane Mode' & 'Silent Mode' comes on, touching has no effect.

Any ideas please?
