Sony Handycam DCR-DVD101 says "No Disc" when disc is inserted.
After inserting a mini-disc into the camcorder it seems not to recognize the disc...hence..."No Disc".

can you hear the drive spinning after you inserted the disc??
if it starts spinning - i would clean the laser lens with a soft microfibre cloth, breathe on the laser lens and "polish" the laser.
dust could be "burned" into the laser lens (very common on game consoles)
