Hi, any new infos about this problem? It's the same here. I own a 13 inch non retina MBP Mid 2012 and have some of this flickering rectangular stripes at other positions on the screen. They dissapear when I open a new window and move this over the flickering stripes. Looks like a refreshing problem. Maybe the RAM? I don't know so I hope you have some new infos about this problem...

Greetings from Germany

Hi,

Same problem here.

I also have a flickering rectangle very similar to the one in the video. I am on a 2012 i7 Mac mini with 2 thunderbolt displays. Rectangle only appears on one monitor at a time and the location of it is random. I am also running the latest yosemite. Due to audio and video production software I do not really wish to up/downgrade my OS as I have everything running very stable at the moment, just that rectangle appears randomly. It does go away for a bit if I move a window over it but it does eventually return.

Any other possible resolutions?

I've been having similar issues on my Mac Mini 2012 connected via HDMI. Not little rectangles but bigger graphics glitches. I am fairly certain it is due to the newest os Yosemite. Ever since I have updated I have had these issues and so have other people online. I would suggest trying to install an older OS on the machine Pre-yosemite and see if you still have the issues. If so then it is likely a GPU glitch caused by a failing GPU/bad connection to LCD/ or least likely, the LCD/controller failing.
