I have a Macbook Pro Unibody 15" (2009) can I switch the whole display and lid with a Macbook Pro 15" (2011)and is the airport card piece for both models in the display?...

To start with here is the P/N for your (Mid 2009):

  • Display Assembly without Airport Card, Glossy 661-5215
  • Display Assembly, Anti-Glare (without glass) 661-5295

And here's the Unibody MacBook Pro 15" (2011):

  • Display Assembly 661-5847

As you can see the P/N's are vey different!

So the simple answer here is no this is not doable.
