External camera lense cracked found on eBay replacement

Hi all

I cracked the external camera lens, I found a replacement containing both the glass and the outer ring but i'm not sure the replacement is correct. I went through all tutorials but it seams the external ring and the case are one piece. Is this correct? How do I separete the ring and lense from the case???
