I put a dvd in my computer and it did not show on the screen. I cannot eject it.

If the eject button doesn't work you can turn off your computer then turn it back on holding the mouse button down. Make sure you hold it down until
A) the DvD/CD pops out
OR
B) you just see the apple logo (which means it failed to eject)
If it failed to eject that means the disc drive is probably bent down in which case it would be best to bring it into apple. You can also try to use a spudger and move the drive into place and try the force eject again.

+ for the mouse. We have other methods for ejecting disks beside physically. If the mouse trick doesn't work write back and we'll give you the command code for ejecting. That failing, then you can go to physical means. Physical is a last resort and usually means replacing the drive.
if the disc still won't come out - you can "shake" it out.

Good if it's a mini-disk.
this also works with regular disks - but that video had the best quality
Why not just use the 'emergency eject' facility??? Loking at the dvd drive eject button, on the right hand side you will see a small hole. Push a wire (straightened paper clip is perfect) into the hole and Hey Presto! Let me know if this works... :o)

That would be great if there was a 'emergency eject' on the MacBook.
The optical drive has the contact, but there is no hole
