screen flashing with orange fire logo

I have been trying to get into a used fire I purchased ( the fire logo is orange if that means anything). Originally it would power on and off and my computer would bring it up in devices but no driver found. After loading some things into my computer it no longer recognizes it and now it flashes on and off the kindle fire screen when hooked to a power supply. When it is unhooked it will do nothing. Any advice?
