Hi there I am using nexus 4 KitKat 4.4 my soft keys is not working other things are working properly. Is there any possible solution to fix it.thanks giving advance

The simplest way is to install an app called Pie control (available at the play store) install that and it allows you to move the soft keys on the screen, mine is on the bottom right, touch the screen and a quarter pie appears with the soft keys in it press whichever one one you want, works great, but it does seem to be an issue with the digitizer as the soft keys work in landscape mode on the right.
i've been facing the same problem. I think it's screen digitizer has some issues.. I visited a shop in my city for the repair. they said. It's screen is damaged. I need to replace it. And it's cost would be 80$. Including repair charges. I came back to home, found some screens on some online stores.. Ordered one form Aliexpress.com in 45$. I have already studied the way how to replace screen in this ifixit.
I have received one lcd screen a few days back. I replaced my self.. And its great.. ALHAMDULILAH... Ifixit :-) its working great.

guys it's not a screen problem.
i have upgraded nexus 4 to lolipop . in this upgrade a feature on lockscreen is that directly go to camera & calling function which works fine where soft keys are present but after unlocking phone soft keys come in front and it won't work. i think it's a bug issue or may be earning money from customer from company.

I'm pretty sure it's a general phone issue. Too many others have had this problem with the Nexus 4 regardless of OS or apparent specific app connection.
Mine is on KitKat 4.4.4 and the soft keys work ever so briefly when it's first woken up, then they go dead. EXCEPT... if I rotate it to landscape mode with the ear speaker to my right. (if to the left, or upright, they don't work).
Weird huh?

I bought a new LCD, replaced it my self. and one day the new LCD was broken, I put the old LCD with an application "android floating softkeys" or "Android Assistive touch". and you know what....
after a few days my LCD started working fine, the softkeys started working perfectly fine.
I solve this changing Original Rom to a Ressurection REmix rom, before that i used pie control but when i rooted and start to try other roms RR works flawless, hope that helps,
