Will not agitate, drain, or fill

I have a Kenmore top load washer model 110.24642300. I loaded laundry, it filled, and went no further. There is no clicking or thumping noise when I raise or lower the lid. I tried unplugging in an attempt to reset the circuit, nothing. I've taken some water out and attempted to start a cycle again, thinking it would add more water, and nothing happened.

As the machine is not clicking or filling, I'm leaning towards the control panel being bad. I'm going to try to take the top off and take a look to ensure all electrical con tats are in tact, but do you think I am heading in the right direction?
