How do I restore LCD damaged by liquid, specifically milk?
My 4 year old daughter spilled her milk on my Galaxy S3 purposely. I think the milk entered the Home button and eventually to the circuitboard and the LCD screen.
Before I discovered this, the phone was fully charged, then it just suddenly died, so I just left it on the wireless charger the whole afternoon. In the evening, I tried to switch it back on but it wouldn't switch. I then felt liquid coming out of the case so i immediately removed the case and back cover. To my surprize, it was soaked in milk.
I disassembled everything and dried everything then put everyting back together. the phone worked for a day then suddenly the screen went blank. No matter what I do to dry it, use my wife's hair dryer, put in a zip lock with dessicant for 2 days, it didn't come back to life.
I am sure that it is not the motherboard/circuitboard because I have tried it on my other S3, so I am sure it is the LCD screen.
The menu keys still light up, but the lcd is blank whenever I switch the phone on.
Any ideas?
thanks
Questa è una buona domanda?
Did you wash phone out with ISO alcohol or just hair dry it?
So you removed the motherboard and put in another phone and it worked?
