Replacing MacBook Air Battery

Hello all,

i need to replace the macbook battery as now its performance is drop to poor (health ~ 70% and hold about 80% of it charges).

Since im a hard working guy :) so im always outside with the macbook air + need superior battery performance. Hence to get it replaced, is it just switch the brandnew battery with the old or we have to do something like reset here and there before replacing it?

How to open we know, how to get the item plug off from the socket we know. Just what we dont know is it need a proper "methods" before we replace it or it just plug and play concepts which replace it with brand new will do the trick?

First I would review this Apple TN: Apple Portables: Calibrating your computer's battery for best performance.

If you are running your system for long durations away from power consider getting an external battery to extend the run-time.

Over time the built-in battery will loose capacity, this is normal. But using your system smartly and not running a lot of junk will also effect your performance.

Its like driving your car to gain the best milage for a long drive. You wouldn't put a mattress or other stuff strapped on your roof you would instead put it inside making your car more aerodynamic. Here think about what applications or add-on's are running in background as well as tuning your systems settings to lower the systems power needs.
