pressure on left side of lcd after replacement

Hi

A colleague had given me his ipad 2 to repair after he attempted but burnt the lcd and ripped the wifi antenna.

He already had the digitiser, so I've purchased an LCD and antenna, fitted it all.

But before adhering the glass, I tested it and rhe ribbon cable for the digitiser is putting pressure on the lcd, causing yellowish light to come through, and when I tap the screen towards top left area, you can see the pressure hitting the lcd.

Ive double checked that the ribbon cable is fully seated inside the frame edge so only a small amount is being folded in half when laying the screen down.

Could there be a possibility of the lcd being slightly warpped?

Or any other hints/tips/advice.

Thanks guys

This is going to be due to a small piece of glass or something similar trapped under the LCD. The tiniest speck can lift the LCD just enough to cause this defect.

Also---the digitizer cable should not be folded AT ALL in the iPad 2---this is a common beginner's error (myself included) and will ultimately cause the digitizer to fail. The cable will fit under the LCD entirely, with one the end of it fitting between the LCD and frame, not on top at all, no folds.

let us know when you find the speck.
