Need help identify component on logic board that burnt

Tom Shoemer, that is reference designator L3404 with the description of FERR-120-OHM-1.5A in a 0402 package. It is a Ferrite Chip Bead and Murata Part number is BLM15EG121SN1D. The part is available at places like this. Hope this helps, good luck.

This is the response to your updated question. The item 'missing' is reference designator C6301. It is a 2.2UF 20% 10V X5R capacitor in a 402 package. Check The components marked by the yellow arrows. It is possible that it is just my bad eyesight (no more hawk eye;-) make sure those are still all there. Hope this helps, good luck.

Yes, the lower two components, that are marked with the lower two yellow arrows in the picture above, are missing, too.

And those are not the only ones. I found many more blank solder contacts.

How is that posible that there are so many components missing?

And what are the components for the two lower yellow arrows?

I bought this broken macbook pro as a just for fun project, but with so many possible missing components i think is a dead project.

Since you do not know the history of the board, it may be that someone used the parts to repair another computer; hard to say. So far, your parts are not very expensive and it looks like the solder pads are all in good condition. Since you bought it as a project, it is your call if you want to continue to try to resurrect it or to discard it. All a question of economics:-)
