Why has my iPad 2 16g screen frozen.

My iPad has stopped working and the screen is half black and half normal. It stopped working while I was watching a video upload on YouTube. I had accidentally pushed down on my iPad screen when I was getting into bed and though I didn't cracked the screen it has stopped working. The touch screen is also unresponsive.

Try a hard restart press power and home button at same time and hold til the screen turns of the press power to turn on.. If that doesn't work you have damaged the lcd and it needs replaced
