3 lock button failure
I need to troubleshoot why my screen isn't working after A took the working headphone jack from a iphone 3GS and installed into an Iphone 3G. It all went together smooth but when I got to testing, I tested with the screen not latched all the way so if it didn't turn on it would be easier to remove. well it turned on but when i started to click the screen in place one of the #1 or #2 stickered ribbon cable connections came unlatched and the screen went black. I thought, no problem I would re hook up and turn on and the screen would work but it hasn't.
I have let the battery run out (it was dead to start so didnt take long) and removed and reinstalled the screen, plugged into charger and it still makes the ding like it is booting up but it doesnt show apple logo or anything.
Any ideas on something I can do, check, or replace?

I just plugged it in again and this time it gave me a white screen, I kept it on the charger longer and it loaded up after the white screen like it should, the only problem is the problem that I was trying to fix the first time, the lock button doesnt work, I already salvaged the headphone jack from another broken iphone of the same version, any ideas where to look next?
