Vibrate and headphone jack problems?

My headphone jack and vibrate does not work on my iphone. Do they share the same cable? My volume buttons and silent switch still work. If i replace the cable and headphone jack will they still work? Cheers

I believe that is the case. I have recently fixed my iPhone 4 power button because it didn't work any longer. After doing that, I realise that my vibrator doesn't work therefore I ordered a new vibrator. Later I discover that the headphone jack doesn't work as well. I had to make a refund and then purchase the audio flex cable.

The headphone jack, the volume buttons and the vibrator is all connected with a flex cable. You would need to change that in order for the headphone jack and vibrator to work again. That's how I fixed my iPhone 4.
